Building is the soul of Len's Island. Master zoning, load-bearing, and material progression β your base will be both beautiful and functional.

Zoning
A good base starts with 4 zones:
- Living area (bed, storage)
- Workshop (workbench, furnace)
- Farm (fields, animal pens)
- Harbor (boat, expeditions)

Material Progression
Materials determine looks & durability:
- Wood β Thatched/Wood walls (early)
- Stone bricks β Stone walls (fireproof mid)
- Bricks β Brick walls (late)
- Glass β Light-admitting windows

Load-Bearing
Don't build in the sky:
- Each floor needs pillar support
- Max overhang: 2 tiles
- Sloped roofs prevent water pooling
- Add beams for high floors

Town System
Develop into a town later:
- Recruit NPCs to move in
- Provide housing and jobs
- NPCs automate production
- Unlock exclusive town quests
